About the camp
The Sea of Tactics Camp Suitable for players aged 6–12 who know the rules but either do not play online or are rated below 700 on Chess.com.
Every chess game is won or lost in a single moment: a fork, a pin, a discovery that changes everything. This camp drops kids into the deep end of tactical combat, teaching them to spot and execute the combinations that win real games. Through themed puzzle challenges, timed tactical races, and interactive board battles, campers will train their pattern recognition and learn to strike when the moment is right. By Friday, they won't just know what a tactic is, they'll be hunting for them every move.

Schedule
Monday: Forks
"The Knight's Double Attack" The knight is the sneakiest piece on the board. Campers learn to set up and execute knight forks, queen forks, and pawn forks through puzzle challenges and mini-games.
Tuesday: Pins & Skewers
"Freeze! You Can't Move!" What happens when a piece is stuck protecting something more valuable? Kids master the pin and skewer, two of the most powerful tactical weapons in chess.
Wednesday: Discovered Attacks
"The Hidden Ambush" The most dangerous attack is the one you don't see coming. Campers learn how to move one piece to unleash another, setting up devastating discovered checks and double attacks.
Thursday: Combinations
"Putting It All Together" Now it gets real. Campers tackle multi-move combinations that chain forks, pins, and discoveries into game-winning sequences. Timed puzzle races test who can find the winning move fastest.
Friday: Tactics Tournament
"Battle Royale" A full afternoon of tactical combat! Campers face off in a puzzle-solving tournament and blitz games where only the sharpest tactician wins. Special prizes for top performers!
