Weekly chess classes with friends your age

All new students start with a free trial class. Book it with the quiz above or WhatsApp us. After the trial, we send you a link to sign up for a 12-lesson package at $540 ($45 per lesson), to be completed within 14 weeks of the first lesson (2 missed weeks allowed). Lessons left, missed lessons, payments and teacher feedback are all in your parent portal.

Your 12 lessons are to be completed within 14 weeks of the first lesson, which allows for 2 missed weeks. If your child cannot make a lesson, let us know any time in the parent portal (Manage class, then “I can’t make a lesson”): that lesson is not deducted and can be used on another week before the package ends. Prefer not to wait? Book a make-up seat in another class of the same level from the portal. Lessons not used within the 14 weeks lapse, and a lesson missed without telling us is deducted.

4. Promote through class levels (Starter → Intermediate → Advanced → Expert)

5. Join tournaments when ready (Intermediate and up)

Students can get promoted to the next level of class in two ways:

(1) Whole class promotion: When the coach deems that the whole class is suitable to be promoted to the next level, the whole class will be promoted and the class name & content will change.

(2) Individual promotion: If the coach deems that a particular student is much stronger than the others in the class, the coach may suggest that that child be promoted to a stronger class.

We’re really proud of our chess teachers! Many chess centers care mainly about the teacher’s chess abilities. But we’ve found that a great chess teacher needs much more than that. That’s why we’re proud to say that our chess teachers are great at making lessons fun and exciting for kids. Our teachers strive to leave each student with at least one “special moment” every lesson. Sometimes, that means celebrating a new chess skill they’ve picked up. Other times, it could mean surprising them with cake for their birthday.

Beyond that, our teachers have the chess abilities to back it up too. Many of them are certified to teach in MOE schools and have received coaching certifications from FIDE, the international chess federation.

Entrust us with your child’s chess growth! We’ll do all we can to give them a fruiful and enjoyable time with us.

Your child can bring a water bottle and jacket for the lesson. All chess materials will be provided.

There are plenty of malls and food options available nearby for parents to wait. Please note that parents and/or helpers will not be allowed into the centre during classes.

Yes, classes run on almost every public holiday. The only dates we close are:

• Friday 25 December 2026 (Christmas Day)

• Friday 5 to Sunday 7 February 2027 (Chinese New Year)

• Friday 26 March 2027 (Good Friday)

• Saturday 25 December 2027 (Christmas Day)

If one of these lands on your child's class day, we add a week to their package, so no lesson is lost.

Classes run as usual on all other public holidays. If your child will be away, let us know in advance and we'll save the lesson for a make-up.
